Yeah so we finally got round to organising a proper Youtube channel and we’re uploading as much of our back catalogue as quickly as possible.

We’ll be uploading all our new tunes there as well, so head over to www.youtube.com/blumarten and hit ‘subscribe’ if you want to see any new uploads.

The tracks for the single are ‘Problem Child’ and ‘Sweet Little Supernova’, which features the vocal talents of Rochelle Parker who we worked with on Natural History.

Frantically working on the new album. Need to get everything finished by the end of July in order to be able to release it this year, so we’re pretty much living in the studio at the moment.
We look terrible and have lost all social skills but it’s shaping up ok.

This is something in progress with old pal Kirsty Hawkshaw on vocals. Hopefully it will make it on to the album.

This week we mastered our new single down at Finyl Tweek and took a bit of video so you can get an idea of how it’s sounding.

The single should be released in June or July sometime and is the first step in the run-up to our new album project that will, (hopefully), be out before the end of the year.

This release has two tracks, ‘Still The One‘ which is a collaboration with InsideInfo, and ‘Five Summers‘ by us which is in a simliar vein to ‘If I Could Tell You’ from our last album.

Over the last few weeks we’ve been working on a tune with InsideInfo, (aka Paul), at his studio in East London. Given that he leans much more towards the dancefloor than we do a few people have been surprised that we should hook up to make music, but it’s been working pretty well so far.

You can hear a clip of the tune and see Paul give a quick tour of his set-up below.

We did these remixes for Sony BMG back in 2001 and thought we’d lost them until they turned up this evening in a folder in a folder in a folder deep on a hard drive.

Both mixes were pretty popular on the tribal house scene and got the thumbs-up from Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Pete Tong et al…

New Blu Mar Ten Remixes

Exclusive to PandaDnB, one of the biggest d&b channels on Youtube, here are the videos for the Klute, Stray & Kastle remixes on Part 2 of the Natural History Remixes. As usual, all videos created by ithinkitsnice.

Release date for these is 23rd August 2010.

I was bumbling around on the Ministry of Sound website because their new CD mixed by Friction is out today and features the Seba remix of our track ‘Overwhelm’.

While I was on there I noticed that another Ministry compilation, ‘Winter Sessions‘, came out a few months ago and included a remix that we did for Jakatta of his track ‘So Lonely’, which was released on the ‘So Lonely’ single in 2001 along with other remixes by Photek, 2 Sinners and Joey Negro.

I hadn’t heard it for years and noticed it wasn’t on youtube, so I took the liberty of uploading a shortened version. If you like it you can still get the full version from iTunes.

While taking a break in the studio a few nights ago I found a couple of old tracks stuffed down a dark corner of a hard drive so I stuck them up on youtube with some entertaining visuals for those who have an interest in this sort of thing. When I get bored again I’ll upload some of the other (many) unreleased tunes that are kicking around.

‘Pawprints‘ is from 1997 and ‘My Heart‘ is from 2005. Neither were ever released, and that’s not going to change.

Here’s a handful of videos from Fabric a couple of weeks ago, including some sneak previews of the Stray and Kastle reworks from our forthcoming Natural History Remix series.

This section of an old Bukem show cropped up on youtube a few days ago but the uploader didn’t know who it was, (hence the big ‘unknown’ on the video).

Turns out it’s a track we did in 1996 called ‘Unreal City’, which never got released.
