A quick reminder that we’re having Blu Mar Ten’s birthday party this Saturday (21st Aug) to celebrate 15 years of knocking out incredibly niche electronic music, and everyone who’s ever bought, pirated, played, laughed at or otherwise enjoyed our little tunes is invited along too.
WHERE & WHEN
The weather forecast is favourable right now, so assuming there’s sunshine we’ll be on Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath from 14:00 until whenever.
If you don’t already know it, Parliament Hill is where everyone goes to fly kites and overlooks the whole of London. See it on GoogleMaps HERE.
Just got back from a four-city tour of Canada which was fantastic.
We must say a big thank you to the ShahDJs in Vancouver, Lanny, Liam & all their crew in Edmonton, Slim Pickins in Calgary and most of all Capro & Wendy in Toronto for organising the whole visit and making it run so smoothly.
Thanks also to all the nice people I met at all the shows along the way; A whole new bunch of friends I’m sure we’ll see again some time in the future.
We’ll put up more photos and video soon, but in the meantime here’s a selection from the Toronto party featuring a host of nutters from that hive of villainy Torontojungle.com.
If you have photos or video from any of the parties feel free to drop me an email with the links.
Big thanks to everyone who joined came down to Atmosphere at The Last Days of Decadence to celebrate the launch of our Natural History album. We all got a bit tipsy and had a lot of fun.
Thanks also goes to Nookie for organising the night, Doc Scott, Stray, DV8, Deezim & Five Alive for providing the evening’s entertainment, and Andrew Attah for the photos

This was such a great night. We finally stumbled out of the club at about 6am straight onto the beach (which is where World War II started as the Germans landed in Sopot), then straight on to the airport, wrecked as hell but happy with it.
Yes, once again I know there’s loads of photos, but you can suck it up.
Finally home after a series of Atmosphere shows in Poland with Nookie, PFM, Ros and Wiosna.
Completely amazing time, and also very humbling. I’m not used to turning up in a city and seeing the Blu Mar Ten name and my face plastered on posters all over town. The response from the crowds and the people I met individually was also amazingly positive. I spoke to people who had travelled for six hours just to be at the clubs, others who bought their CDs of our albums so they could get them signed and others who came to a party even though they had already come to see us in a different city the week before.
I’ve deliberately cut right back on DJ work in the last 8 months or so in order to concentrate on writing the album, and when you’re stuck in a studio for months on end it’s easy to forget there are actually people out there who really, genuinely get something out of the music. So it was incredibly encouraging and affirming, (ugh, I hate that word..but it’s the right one), to meet these people face to face and be reminded how worthwhile this strange activity of music writing can be.
Massive massive thanks to everyone in Poland for showing us such a great time. Also a big thank you to Ros and Wiosna for looking after us, and of course to Nookie for organising the shows in the first place.
I’ll put up some photos etc when I get them.
Yes yes yes….i know – it’s just another dark room with good looking people jiggling about and old blokes playing records, but some people like that sort of thing, so shut up.
These photos and video are from the 2nd night of the Atmosphere Poland mini-tour which was in Chorzow. Just as with the crowd at the Wroclaw show the night before, everyone was fantastic, friendly and welcoming and all had a great time. Not sure the cherry liqueur stuff was a great idea, but you only live once…
Remember this Friday and Saturday sees the second half of the tour touch down in Szczecin on Friday night and Sopot on Saturday
