A quick reminder that we’re having Blu Mar Ten’s birthday party this Saturday (21st Aug) to celebrate 15 years of knocking out incredibly niche electronic music, and everyone who’s ever bought, pirated, played, laughed at or otherwise enjoyed our little tunes is invited along too.
WHERE & WHEN
The weather forecast is favourable right now, so assuming there’s sunshine we’ll be on Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath from 14:00 until whenever.
If you don’t already know it, Parliament Hill is where everyone goes to fly kites and overlooks the whole of London. See it on GoogleMaps HERE.
If it’s raining, we’ll relocate to The Garden Gate pub, which is just a couple of minutes away in South End Green. See directions from Parliament Hill to the Garden Gate HERE.
TRANSPORT
It’s really easy to get to Hampstead Heath. To give you an idea, this is the route from Trafalgar Square to Parliament Hill
Trains
Hampstead Heath or Gospel Oak overground stations bring you pretty much directly to the location and connect to several other lines across London.
Tube
Nearest tube stations are either Belsize Park or Hampstead, both on the Northern Line
Buses
Several buses stop at South End Green which is next to the Heath.
The 24 bus runs through central London, (Charing Cross Rd / Tottenham Court Rd / Camden etc..), and terminates at South End Green so you can’t get lost if you hop on that.
The 168 bus also terminates at South End Green and comes from Central London.
The 46 bus comes from Farringdon, (going through Kings Cross / St Pancras / Camden and passes through South End Green.
There are a few other buses that go through South End Green, but I can’t remember what they are. Anyway, once you’re at South End Green you’re just a few minutes walk from the location. Map HERE.
FOOD / DRINK
We’ll provide a bunch of drinks, (or put some money behind the bar at the Garden Gate if it’s raining), but we’re not *that* rich and some of you drink pretty heavily, so if you’d like to bring some additional alcohol / soft drinks / snacks then please feel free.
So yeah, hopefully see some of you there.
Visit the Facebook event page if you want to see who else is coming.
Email us if you get stuck. We’ll be picking up messages all the time.
